Mapping Our Future
Through Responsible Design

We are organizing our actions in alignment with the Common Materials Framework impact categories and first factors so we can leverage the language of the industry and our customers. Using the CMF impacts as an organizing framework, have designed a Sustainability Roadmap that will enable us to quickly take next steps across specific sustainability areas:

Continue to demonstrate reduced VOCs and ensure our product certifications align to the industry's highest standards

Systematically work with our suppliers to explore material ingredient reporting feasibility with a goal to optimize the materials used in our products

Work toward operational and product impact transparency by benchmarking our operational impacts and product footprints

Ensure the recycled components of packaging we are already using are diligently verified

Formalize our approach to circularity to take advantage of our products existing lifetime structural warranty and ability to be disassembled and refreshed for re-use

Share transparently the policies we have in place to protect and benefit our employees and establish those expectations across our supply chain

What We’re Doing Now

Sustainability isn’t something we’re promising tomorrow — it’s something we’re delivering today. From the ground up, our process is built for positive impact. We manufacture by hand in Sutton, Massachusetts — close to major population centers to reduce shipping emissions. Our facilities run on low-energy lighting, and we’re actively recycling tens of thousands of pounds of materials each year. Every element — from the recycled content in our packaging to the adhesives and finishes we use — is selected to minimize harm and maximize health.

We handcraft every product in Massachusetts, close to major urban centers, to reduce shipping emissions and serve customers faster.

Wasting Less

Each year, we recycle over 25,000 pounds of fabric scraps, keeping valuable materials out of landfills and giving them new life.

Smart Packaging Choices

Our cardboard packaging contains at least 78% recycled material and uses water-based adhesives and inks to minimize environmental impact.

Powered by Efficiency

We’ve upgraded our entire facility with low-energy LED lighting, dramatically reducing energy use and lowering our carbon footprint.
